Patricia MacKenzie is qualified and experienced, having taught dance in the Alberni Valley for decades.   Small classes, with lots of individual attention in a family oriented environment are hallmarks of the studio.  Dancers have the option to pursue dance recreationally or more seriously.  The focus has always been on the  development of confidence, sound technique and performance skills, and camaraderie.  Dancers are encouraged to audition and have been accepted and performed with the renowned youth repertory dance company Dancestreams.  Additionally, students are encouraged to venture out in the dance community to broaden their experiences by attending master classes, workshops and summer intensives. Highland dance could almost be described as an artistic sport and thus competition is an important facet of this particular training.  Our highland dancers have attended and excelled at competitions and championships throughout North America.
